Pendulum Poster Competition

This is a poster I have submitted for a competition run by the drum & bass band Pendulum on their website. The poster is to celebrate their last album 'In Silico'. They were asking for any photo or image inspired by Pendulum. My poster depicts the Sun splashing into the sea, nice and dramatic for them. Still waiting to hear how I did.

Second Year So Far ...

Here is some of my work from the first semester of my second year.

First off is my proposed design for the university's open day poster. I worked with my friends LJ Hazzard and Sara Loiperdinger on this one. Lots of 3D shapes in different colours representing different choices and variety. oh and a plain white one symbolising 'thinking out side of the box' ... get it?

These are some pack shots of a small book i produced for my 'Batch Production' project. We basically had to produce a book five times for £5. My book is called 'What to do in case you...', and is  a light-hearted 'survival guide' for everyday situations; such as what to do in case you walk into a lamp post.

These two photos show a sculptural book I produced for my Book Arts extention studies. Its all about escapism.

We were each given one font that is good to use as a body font. We then had to design an A4 right hand page, a double spread, and a left hand page. So basically a double sided A3 insert for a magazine. I was given Eurostile. First spread is back and front pages and the second is the inside double page spread.

I will post more work as i do it.  ... if i like it.

Some First Year Work

I dug around and found some of my first year work which is of ok-ish standard to give you an idea of what I was up to.

First are some spreads and pack shots(excuse the bad colours of the photos) of  a redesigned CD for my 'Visual Alchemist' project.

Next is 'Power Graphics' an A1 poster about Surveillance.

Finally we have 'Building Blocks'; an A3 broadsheet educating about typography.
